Thank you Justin for another excellent econ lesson. I'm worried about the whipsaw economy, markets, depression on the way again. This demented old chap plays liars poker with markets hourly! Will be a miracle if we get to 2028 without another huge crash. And the WS wonders know better. They just don't care as long as they line their own as well as HIS family's and his own pockets til they all crash the economy. Happy 250th to all us fools who play on this seesaw. The playground is muddy and full of predators.
The Don isn't tethered to any moral core that requires him to care if what he says or does is honest or just. A malignant narcissist, nepo baby w/ deep psychopathic tendencies don't care either way. He cares about numero uno! He only cares if the outcomes of what happens in his life benefits HIM. Nothing else matter. He's the center of the universe, at least in his own egomaniacal/demented/malevolent brain.
The man lied a documented 30,000 times in his first term in office according to the Washington post and that was an under-count. In this term he'll likely quadruple that number and his party has become deeply wedded to the ideology of continuous disinformation.
Meanwhile he's engaging in insider trading and corrupt backroom deals w/ his supplicants. The corruption is everywhere. He outwardly disrespect those who serve and all Americans as he abuses us all in this moronic and pointless war.
This war is of the same cloth of all other MAGA (there is no more GOP) wars. It's all about money and power and he doesn't care that brave Americans will die or that he's ballooning our deficit or that his inexhaustible lies make Lucifer look like an angel.
In his first campaign for the presidency in 2016, Cheeto famously said from his psychopathic pulpit, "don't believe what you see, what you read, believe me". In essence believe the fantasy world that I have created for myself and come along on this Alice in Wonderland journey. He uses this fantasy world every time he loses, citing baloney lies as evidence…”just look” and you’ll see the evidence.
Now in his second term the Con Artist in Chief wants a fatigued country to believe that while he has sent the country into decline economically, morally, politically, and spiritually America is so much better off. As Cheeto has said, "all you have to do is look to see how great the country is with me as leader." But WE the People are not buying his fantasy world any longer that WE are being forced to live through such a perverted reality.
Meanwhile he has repulsed our allies, thrown the geopolitical economy into a tailspin with his Netanyahu induced war, bankrupting our country, and even has managed to reign havoc in the FIFA World Cup claiming Americas is lucky to have him as a leader. The Nazi Republicans are responsible for this 4y nightmare and should not be allowed to hold office for the next 20y.
It’s a warning, what’s to be done, I wonder. Is the outcome already inevitable? I mean, even if Trump said, “ah shucks, I’m really sorry I bombed your country” and “gee, Obama had a decent agreement and I screwed it up royally,” what would change between the US, Iran and everyone else? I’m not asking because I think this is futile, though it sure does sound like it. I believe that we’ll get through this. We may even be able to reach some sort of agreement with Iran after we make some changes stateside. But right now, is there actually anything Trump could do? Okay, yeah, one thing. Resign. But even that, without elections and a true change in ideology from the MAGA/white nationalist/Christian Nationalist combination that has taken hold, the three branches will continue along a similar trajectory. Yes? No?
I hope I don’t sound like I’m being critical of the warning. This is serious and it’s seriously frustrating.
