Obvi the mid-20aughts Recession hurt that employment but we were slowly growing back under Obama and even under Trump 45, until COVID. Under Biden we again got back on track, with manufacturing employment finally exceeding pre-Covid level, but then drifting lower during 2024. There was a slight (brief!) blip upward right when Trump was elected to be 47, then the downward drift resumed. The figure may now be on a plateau, back where we were at midpoint of Trump's first term. Overall, during the almost 2 years of Trump 47, manufacturing employment has been below the last couple years of Biden's presidency and it's NOT trending up. Considering this additional factor, can we tweak his Factories grade to F-?
