Did you mean that Americans will be paying higher prices for the stupidity of tariffs? Yes Canada will, but they can just say NO to American goods. That will hurt both American workers and buyers. Maybe Canada will go elsewhere. I DO apologize to our lovely Canadian neighbors for the contemptible man. He needs to be sent to mental health clinic!

I have friends who are driving the entire north shore of Lake Superior right now. Suggested they put a sign on the back of their rig with Michigan plates, "I didn't vote for the guy". They might get fewer fingers thrown at them. But that trip's scenery is worth a little animosity.

One for sure impact is all those gift shops in Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Windsor etc are going to make a killing selling anti-Trump and “Made in Canada” merch.

Yet another terrific podcast. I really appreciate the clear explanation of tariffs and what Canada should do about the recent Trump tariff barrage. As to whether we will ever be seen as a trustworthy partner again in the world---or ever be able to come back from all of this bad blood we've created---I think the phrase is "I am less than sanguine." (Turns out there is such a thing as sanguineous drainage---a different type of blood----who knew?) Thanks to you and Megan for making sense of things!
